STOODIS Indigenous Film & Media Festival – Sept 26–30, 2025

Jun 5, 2025 | Events

A celebration of Indigenous storytelling, resilience, & connection — in the heart of Nelson, BC.

💫 Mark your calendars for the 2025 STOODIS Indigenous Film & Media Festival, taking place September 26–30 in Nelson, BC!

Now in its third year, STOODIS is a vibrant & growing celebration of Indigenous culture, creativity, & community connection.

The festival features films, live performances, and conversations that uplift Indigenous voices from across Turtle Island and beyond—rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and guided by the teachings of the Medicine Wheel.

The Medicine Wheel—a symbol of balance, cycles, and interconnection—guides the structure and spirit of STOODIS. Programming reflects these teachings by honouring the diversity of experiences, stories, and artistic forms shared throughout the festival.

From documentaries and animation to spoken word and live music, STOODIS highlights resistance, resurgence, and celebration—inviting all to reflect, learn, and be inspired.
